U.Rajesh’s ‘Into The light’ launched by Music Today

Mumbai : Music Today unveiled the World Music extravaganza by mandolin virtuoso, U. Rajesh ‘Into The light‘ – a mystifying musical journey towards enlightenment.

The album has been adapted from Carnatic classic melodies, fusing them into an Indo-Western platform. Some of the tracks are well-known and beloved melodies such as ‘Annapoorne’ by Muthuswamy Dikshitar while others have been composed by U. Rajesh along with Anil Srinivasan as the pianist.

The album consists of eight tracks: The first two tracks ‘Shadows’ and ‘Sunrise’ are fast-paced compositions that emulate the sound of a breaking dawn and the other tracks are Annapoorne , Reflections, Rainwalk , Saraswati, Sacred Fires and Devi.
