Saptak is happy to announce its Saptak Annual Festival – 2014. This year’s festival programme will be held in two parts, part 1 from 1st to 13th January and part 2 on 27th and 28th January. In all, there will be about 50 sessions including two morning sessions on Sunday, 5th & 12th January.
The theme of this year’s festival is ‘Sankrant’. For Indian classical music it is ‘Sankrant’ as music tradition passes from one generation to another. This year’s programme features such a confluence of generations. Listeners will find it heartening that the classical tradition is vibrant as they watch the making of the new maestros.
