ElJay Arem (RJ JayR) "live" onair in Studio1 @ Tide 96.0 FM (Dec 2010)

This is a 1st test recording with the “Post by Voice.” feature on IMCRadio.Net’s Blog site (using wordpress system)..

Let’s check the different features, e.g.

– sound quality…

– reaction speed of (automated) posting…

– documentation

– data storage

– customer acceptance & usability

– Using the US tel. number… regular charge [with world flat rate “cost free” 🙂 ]

– menue for recording a new audio message… very, very simple

– Blog publishing… automated public status…

critics 1: it would be better, if I can decide before I record by “press the button” function if I want store it as “draft” in my blog system or publish it immediatelly with automated linkage to Twitter and Facebook…

critics 2: the titel of the audio blog post should be more precized… e.g. recording time, and recording length (the storage uses UTC)

critics 3: the custom message for Facebook and Twitter (as tweet) does not contain a “short link”… very bad 😦

More important the question: Does the user like it ? – Tell… and give critical comments here 🙂

The Art of Living, in association with MARG Brindavan is presenting ‘Naadha Vaibhavam’, a landmark event that will bring together 5000 Carnatic musicians from all over Tamil Nadu on a single stage. This first-of-its kind event is being held on 30th January, 2011 (Sunday) at Shriram Gateway, GST Road, Perungalathur (Opp. Railway Station) from 6:00 pm onwards.

Naadha Vaibhavam is a unique programme that has been conceived by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar to honour and showcase the rich, musical tradition of Chennai.

The objective of ‘Naadha Vaibhavam’ is to bring the nuances of classical music across all strata of society and to offer a deep spiritual experience that goes beyond entertainment and individual virtuosic display to tap the spiritual reserves in performer and listener.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Founder of The Art of Living Foundation, which has always recognized music as Sangita Yoga as a  profound and potent way of combating aggression and violence and promotes inner harmony and world peace, says, “Spirituality and music, together, can uplift people, get them out of depression and help them start a new life with enthusiasm. For a stress-free life, you have to embrace both these facets”.

The event will be live webcast at Chennaionline. For more information, please call at 99623 09838 or visit www.naadhavaibhavam.in.

India celebrates Republic Day – what it means

written by: Anita Nair

While India is celebrating its 62nd Republic Day with great pomp, show and grace and is making full use of the opportunity to showcase its achievements and the pride of states; do we know everything that needs to be known as a proud Indian?

How many among us, even the so-called patriotic among us fully understand the meaning of Republic Day? What it stands for and how different it is from Independence Day?

As we all know India had to fight hard to attain independence and many lives were lost in the struggle for Independence. Under the able leadership of Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and Maulana Azad and many others India fought a fair battle uplifting the principles of Ahimsa.

OneIndia has taken the duty upon itself to enlighten readers on the importance of Republic Day and what it means for the large number of Indians spread across the globe.

The Republic Day was first celebrated when the Constitution of India came into existence and India formulated an establishment to rule themselves. This constitution came into effect on January 26, 1950, when India became a Republic. Therefore India celebrates this anniversary on January 26 as India’s Republic Day. The day is also celebrated to honour the ‘Declaration of Independence of 1930′ from the British Rule.

While there exists uncertainties in the minds of many on the difference between Independence Day and Republic Day, the most apparent difference being that while Independence Day dwells upon the past and remembers the struggles and achievements of the yore; Republic Day is an occasion for renewing of the pledge and the golden words in the Constitution is highlighted.
Another more visible difference being that while Independence Day is mostly rhetoric-based, Republic Day is an out-and-out visual spectacle with no speeches.

Hope we have been able to give you a better idea on the importance of the Republic Day and an insight into the transition of India from a British Dominion to a republic on January 26, 1950.

Happy Republic Day to one and all and let us all be proud to be an Indian.
