STAR and Live Earth announced an extensive list of legendary musicians who will be performing at the upcoming Live Earth India concert on December 7. Joining Grammy-winners Bon Jovi and Live Earth India spokesperson and actor, Amitabh Bachchan is a list of global superstars including Roger Waters, Will.I.Am, Anoushka Shankar, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta, Bipasha Basu, Shiamak Davar, Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Hard Kaur, Jalebee Cartel, Vishal & Shekhar, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Sunidhi Chauhan, Sonu Nigam and Shaan.

Live Earth India Beneficiaries
TERI’s Light a Billion Lives campaign and Climate Project India are Live Earth India’s primary beneficiaries and will receive net proceeds from the concerts. Light a Billion Lives (LaBL) campaign is aimed at brightening lives across the world by providing 200 million solar lanterns to rural households currently without electricity. Live Earth India also will support Climate Project India’s educational programs and advocacy for renewable energy solutions in India.
Live Earth India Commitment to Green The Live Earth production team will implement the Live Earth Green Event Guidelines developed for the first Live Earth Concerts for a Climate in Crisis which took place on 07.07.07. The Guidelines address the major areas of impact of live events, including recycling, food and beverages, packaging, transportation, energy, water usage, and the event site itself. From power generation at the concert to garbage generated by concert goers, Live Earth will seek to design out waste and continue to be the model for future live entertainment, while bringing new sustainable event production techniques to India.
