– the beauty of this melodious raga lies in its simplicity. It utilizes all the notes and use “komal Ni*.This is a supportive raga of the Thaat Khamaj*. Elaboration of this raga is normally restricted to the lower and middle octave. The play time is the second quarter of the night.

Avaroha (= descending scala): SaNiDhaPa MaGaReSa

Große Plattenfirmen verlieren Urheberrechte-Prozess in China…

Peking – Die großen Plattenfirmen Universal, EMI, Warner, Sony BMG und deren Filialen haben einen Prozess gegen eine chinesische Internetsuchmaschine wegen Urheberrechtsverletzungen in zweiter Instanz erneut verloren. Wie die chinesischen Medien am Montag berichteten, urteilte der Hohe Gerichtshof in Peking, dass die Suchmaschine Baidu die Autorenrechte der großen Musikkonzerne nicht verletzt. Die Vertreter Baidus hätten vor Gericht geltend gemacht, dass die Website lediglich Links herstelle. Die Plattenfirmen hatten 2005 geklagt, weil Baidu nach ihrer Auffassung 137 Musikstücke kostenlos zur Verfügung stellte. Dafür verlangten sie 1,67 Millionen Yuan (rund 150.000 Euro) Schadenersatz und eine öffentliche Entschuldigung.

TATRA: Das 1700-Euro-Auto kommt 2008 auf den Markt…

Es wird das billigste Auto der Welt. Der indische Stahlriese Tata bringt kommendes Jahr ein neuartiges Fahrzeug auf den Markt. Der Prototyp soll im Januar auf der Automesse in Neu Delhi vorgestellt werden. Er wird mit ähnliche Leistungsdaten wie der legendäre VW-Käfer aufwarten.

Das billigste Auto der Welt, das 1700-Euro-Auto des indischen Herstellers Tata, wird nach Informationen der Zeitschrift „auto motor und sport“ noch Ende 2008 auf den Markt kommen. Tata wolle das Automobil in einer Prototyp-Variante auf der Auto Expo in New Delhi vom 10. bis 17. Januar vorstellen, heisst es. Das Auto solle wie der legendäre VW Käfer über einen Heckmotor mit einer Leistung von 30 PS verfügen. Von dem Modell gebe es bisher nicht einmal Fotos.
Wie „auto motor und sport“ unter Berufung auf Zulieferkreise weiter berichtete, soll der Tata in zwei Varianten angeboten werden, als Benziner mit 660 Kubikzentimetern Hubraum und als Diesel mit 700 Kubikzentimetern. Im Gespräch sei ein stufenloses Automatikgetriebe. Tata wolle in einer ersten Ausbaustufe rund 250.000 Einheiten pro Jahr bauen. Später sollten eine Million Modelle vom Band rollen.
Nach Westeuropa soll das Kleinfahrzeug demnach nicht exportiert werden, vielmehr sei neben Indien eine Lieferung nach Malaysia, Lateinamerika, Osteuropa und Afrika wahrscheinlich. Hauptgrund dafür seien die strengen Sicherheits- und Abgasvorschriften in Westeuropa.
