On Oct. 11th, 2007 – Thursday evening in Berlin – the leading German music magazine Musikexpress awarded Fabchannel with the Style Award 2007 in the category Media. “The best ideas are always those that seem very simple at first glance. But often they turn out to be tricky when it comes down to turning them into reality”, says Chief Editor of Musikexpress Christian Stolberg. “To show concerts of cool bands from off the mainstream via internet is such an idea: it seems obvious but it took a team of inspired and stubborn enthusiasts from Holland to make it possible. And in constant thrilling way!”

Our CEO Justin accepted the Style Award yesterday in Berlin with the following words: “Music, fashion and media are inextricably connected with each other. They have always been determining the face of pop culture. That Fabchannel is accredited an influential factor is a great honour. “

Next to Fabchannel the British rock band Little Man Tate (Performer International), Dapayk and Padberg, the Berlin minimal techno duo of supermodel Eva Padberg, fashion labels Evisu, Freesoul, COS, K-Swiss, Diesel, Boss Orange, Replay Footwear, Fred Perry, Dickies, Lee and young designer Vanessa Morin (New Talent Award) were awarded with a Style Award.

Stay tuned for a video report of the Musikexpress Style Awards!

Posted by ElJay Arem (IMC OnAir) on October 15, 2007

European Digital Rights was founded in June 2002. Currently 28 privacy and civil rights organisations have EDRI membership. They are based or have offices in 17 different countries in Europe.

Members of European Digital Rights have joined forces to defend civil rights in the information society. The need for cooperation among organizations active in Europe is increasing as more regulation regarding the internet, copyright and privacy is originating from European institutions, or from International institutions with strong impact in Europe.

Statutory membership is restricted to not-for-profit, non-governmental organisations whose goals include the defence and promotion of civil rights in the field of information- and communication technology. Organisations that wish to join should contact European Digital Rights via board@edri.org or one of its members.

The statutes of European Digital Rights are available in English and French.
